We invite you to discover a course dedicated to pastel and charcoal drawing, where the development of artistic skills is combined with relaxation, creativity, and the pleasure of working in a welcoming and recreational environment.

Throughout the 12 sessions, you will have the opportunity to explore a variety of techniques and materials, develop your observational skills, and gradually build your own visual language. The course is designed both for beginners and for those who already have artistic experience and wish to deepen their knowledge and refine their skills.

The course takes place every Wednesday, for a total of 12 sessions.

What You Will Learn

Throughout the course, you will explore and develop your skills using:

• soft pastel;
• oil pastel;
• charcoal.

You will learn how these materials can be used to create volume, light and shadow, texture, atmosphere, contrast, and expressive qualities within a drawing.

The course covers three main subjects:

• Portrait Drawing – understanding proportions, constructing the face, capturing expression, and creating a sense of volume;
• Landscape Drawing – perspective, composition, light, atmosphere, and the representation of different textures;
• Still Life – organizing the composition, understanding the relationship between shapes and objects, tonal values, textures, and details.

Each subject provides an opportunity to better understand the artistic process while putting the techniques you learn into practice.

Drawing can also become a space for reconnecting with yourself. Spending time engaged in an artistic activity encourages focus, patience, and attention to detail, while providing a welcome break from the pace and demands of everyday life.

Through artistic practice, you can discover an enjoyable way to relax, release accumulated tension, and express your ideas and emotions in a personal and creative way. The process is just as important as the final result: each drawing becomes an opportunity for exploration, experimentation, and personal progress.

Regardless of your level of experience, you will receive guidance throughout the exercises while having the freedom to develop your own artistic style.
