What is linocut?
Linocut is an artistic technique where a design is carved into a linoleum block and then transferred onto paper or other materials. It’s perfect for creating personalized designs with a striking visual impact.
- Tools: We will use chisels to carve precise details into the linoleum block.
- Process: The uncarved areas are inked, and the image is transferred under pressure, resulting in a unique artistic design.
What you’ll learn in the workshop:
- Techniques for carving and engraving on linoleum.
- How to prepare the linoleum block for printing.
- Proper use of the roller for applying ink.
- How to transfer your design onto paper and fabric.
