Painting Course for Beginners – starting January 22, 2026, at Art & Hobby Studio

Have you always dreamed of painting but never knew where to start? This course is the perfect place for you, whether it’s your very first time holding a brush or you simply want to strengthen your basics and explore new techniques.

Over 12 sessions, in a warm and relaxed environment, you will gradually experience the most popular painting media: acrylics, watercolor & ink, and oils. With the guidance of a patient and attentive instructor, you’ll learn how to turn your ideas into images and develop your own visual language.

Course schedule:

• Frequency: one session/week – every Thursday

• Total duration: 12 sessions

  – Group 1: 5:00 PM – 6:30 PM
  – Group 2: 7:00 PM – 8:30 PM

What you will learn:

Module 1 – Acrylic Painting
We’ll start with acrylics – an accessible and very versatile medium. You’ll learn to control color, use brushes of different shapes, create balanced compositions, and add textures. Through practical exercises, you’ll complete a finished painting on canvas, choosing the theme that inspires you most. It’s an excellent introduction to painting, with visible results from the very first sessions.

Module 2 – Watercolor and Ink
Next, we’ll move on to a delicate and expressive medium. You’ll discover how transparencies work, how to create atmosphere and light using fine layers of color. We’ll also explore ink techniques, focusing on contrast and detail. This module will train your patience, attention, and ability to suggest more with fewer means. You’ll create works on varied themes: landscapes, still life, and portrait.

Module 3 – Oil Painting
In the final part of the course, you’ll work with oils – a classic and profound technique. You’ll learn how to apply color in the right quantities, how to paint in layers, and how to create smooth transitions between tones. We’ll also discuss materials, drying times, and tool care. At the end of this module, you’ll complete a personal painting that incorporates everything you’ve learned, while exploring your own style.
