The Amateur Painting Course is specially designed for those passionate about art and eager to explore various techniques and artistic media. The course is structured into three distinct modules, each focusing on a specific painting medium: acrylic, watercolor and ink, and oil. Each module consists of 4 captivating sessions where participants will learn basic techniques, explore creativity, and develop their artistic skills.

Curriculum:

Module 1: Acrylic Painting

Duration: 4 sessions

Techniques covered:

• Introduction to acrylic medium: characteristics, advantages, and suitable supports.
• Color blending techniques and brush handling in acrylic painting.
• Creating balanced compositions and understanding perspective in painting.
• Applying textures and layering techniques for visual depth.
• Creating a canvas painting based on a model chosen by the participant.

Module 2: Watercolor and Ink Techniques

Duration: 4 sessions

Techniques covered:

• Introduction to the world of watercolor and ink: transparency, fluidity, and expressiveness.
• Techniques for applying watercolors and ink in creating atmosphere and details.
• Playing with light and shadows in watercolor and ink.
• Creating four works addressing themes such as landscapes, still life, and portraits using watercolors and ink.

Module 3: Oil Painting

Duration: 4 sessions

Techniques covered:

• Introduction to oil painting: consistency, layers, drying time, solvents, and care of working materials.
• Color blending techniques and applying subtle layers in oil painting.
• Creating an oil painting on canvas based on a model chosen by the participant.
• Developing personal style and interpreting subjects in oil.

Each session will include:

• Presentation of key techniques and concepts for the respective painting medium.
• Practical demonstration of techniques by the instructor, with opportunities for questions.
• Practical sessions where participants will experiment with techniques in artistic projects.
• Feedback sessions and constructive discussions on the works created.

Instructions and necessary materials will be provided by the organizers. At the end of each module, participants will be encouraged to share and discuss their experiences, learn from each other’s approaches, and develop their skills in an inspiring environment.

Regardless of the current level of artistic knowledge, this course offers an excellent opportunity to explore and develop a passion for art, under the guidance of an experienced instructor and in a supportive learning environment.
