Painting Course for Beginners – starting April 22, 2026, at Art & Hobby Studio

Have you always dreamed of painting but didn’t know where to start? This course is the perfect place for you, whether it’s your first time holding a brush or you want to clarify the basics and explore new techniques.

Over the course of 12 sessions, in a warm and relaxed environment, you will gradually experiment with some of the most popular painting mediums: acrylic, watercolor & ink, and oil. Guided by a patient and attentive instructor, you will learn how to transform your ideas into images and develop your own visual language.

Frequency: one session per week – every Wednesday
Total duration: 12 sessions

What You Will Learn

Module 1 – Acrylic Painting
We begin with acrylics – an accessible and highly versatile medium. You will learn how to control color, work with brushes of different shapes, create balanced compositions, and add texture. Through practical exercises, you will complete a full painting on canvas, choosing the theme that inspires you most. It’s an excellent introduction to painting, with visible results even from the first sessions.

Module 2 – Watercolor and Ink
Next, we move to a delicate and expressive medium. You will discover how transparencies work and how to create atmosphere and light using subtle layers of color. We will also explore ink techniques, focusing on contrast and detail. This module will train your patience, attention, and ability to suggest complex ideas through simple means. You will create works with varied themes: landscapes, still life, and portrait.

Module 3 – Oil Painting
In the final part of the course, you will work with oils, a classic and profound technique. You will learn how to control color, work in layers, and create smooth transitions between shades. We will discuss materials, drying time, and tool care. By the end of this module, you will complete a personal painting where you apply everything you have learned and explore your own style.
