Art & Hobby Studio invites you starting with March 28, 2022 to the Intensive Art Course for adults – on location

This art course makes the transition through the main techniques in the field of art and ensures your preliminary knowledge in the realization of your own works. Going through them, you have the opportunity to experience the basic techniques and then to choose your favorite field and to practice it.

The course is ideal for those who want to attend an art high school / college, but also for those who want to have a new hobby that stimulates their creativity and the artistic spirit.

Structure: 6 MODULES of 4 sessions each

Frequency: 2 meetings / week – every Tuesday and Wednesday

• Group 1: 15: 00-16: 30
• Group 2: 17: 00-18: 30

Duration: 24 sessions

MODULE 1 – DRAWING – STILL LIFE – graphite, charcoal, pastel

Starting from a still life, we will lay the foundations of drawing – composition, pagination, construction, shading – using pencil, graphite, charcoal and pastel based on paper.

MODULE 2 – MODELING – BAS-RELIEF AND VESSELS – clay

We will learn to give shape and expressiveness to an inert, but very obedient material – clay. The practical part will be combined with theoretical notions about shape, volume, proportions, composition, texture, stylization, the relationship between light and shadow, between full and empty.

MODULE 3 – DRAWING – PORTRAIT – graphite, charcoal, pastel

We will learn notions of pagination, construction, shading and last but not least we will study the proportions of the human face. We will find out what are the working techniques in graphite, charcoal and coated pastel, based on paper.

MODULE 4 – PAINTING – LANDSCAPE – watercolor and ink

With the theme of landscape, we will experiment with watercolor and ink painting techniques, we will learn the differences between them and we will accumulate knowledge of chromatology, composition, texture and volume.

MODULE 5 – PAINTING – PORTRAIT – acrylic

During 4 sessions we will study the proportions of the human face – the theme being the self-portrait. We will penetrate the secrets of painting in acrylic colors, having as support the paper. For inspiration, we will follow the path of the self-portrait in the history of art – from the Renaissance to our times.

MODULE 6 – PAINTING – LANDSCAPE – oil

Having as landscape the main theme, we will study the technique of oil painting with a palette knife. This technique, which is part of the family of impasto techniques, involves applying the color on the cloth with the help of a paddle knife.

• the entire course of 24 sessions – 1320 lei
