Art & Hobby Studio invites you to join the Intensive Art Course starting June 25, 2024 – ON-SITE
This course covers the main techniques in the field of art and provides you with the preliminary knowledge to create your own works. By going through these techniques, you will have the opportunity to experiment with the basics and then choose your preferred field to deepen.
The course is ideal for those who want to attend an art high school/college, as well as for those who want to have a new hobby that stimulates their creativity and artistic spirit.
Structure: 6 MODULES of 4 sessions each
Frequency: 2 meetings/week – every Tuesday and Wednesday

MODULE 1 – DRAWING – STILL LIFE – graphite, charcoal, pastel
Starting from a still life, we will lay the foundations of drawing – composition, pagination, construction, value – using pencil, graphite, charcoal, and pastel on paper.
MODULE 2 – MODELING – BAS-RELIEF AND VASES – clay
We will learn to give form and expressiveness to an inert but very obedient material – clay. The practical part will be combined with theoretical notions about form, volume, proportions, composition, texture, stylization, the relationship between light and shadow, and between full and empty.
MODULE 3 – DRAWING – PORTRAIT – graphite, charcoal, pastel
We will learn notions of pagination, construction, value, and we will study the proportions of the human face. We will learn the working techniques in graphite, charcoal, and pastel on paper.
MODULE 4 – PAINTING – LANDSCAPE – watercolor and ink
With the theme of landscape, we will experiment with watercolor and ink painting techniques, learn the differences between them, and gain knowledge in chromatics, composition, texture, and volume.
MODULE 5 – PAINTING – PORTRAIT – acrylic
Over 4 sessions, we will study the proportions of the human face – the theme being self-portrait. We will delve into the secrets of acrylic painting on paper. For inspiration, we will look at the history of self-portraiture – from the Renaissance to modern times.
MODULE 6 – PAINTING – LANDSCAPE – oil
With the main theme being landscape, we will study the technique of oil painting with a palette knife. This technique, part of the impasto family, involves applying color to the canvas using a palette knife.
