Discover the beauty and versatility of linocut art! This workshop will guide you step by step through the fascinating process of creating a unique print. At the end, you will print your own design onto a textile tote bag, turning your creation into a practical and original object.
What is linocut?
Linocut is an artistic technique in which a design is carved into a linoleum block and then transferred onto paper or other materials. It is perfect for creating customized designs with strong visual impact.
Tools:
We will use carving tools (gouges) to sculpt precise details into the linoleum.
Process:
The uncarved areas are covered with ink, and the image is printed using pressure, resulting in a unique artistic design.
What you will learn in the workshop:
Linoleum carving and engraving techniques
Preparing the linoleum block for printing
Proper use of the roller for ink application
Transferring the design onto paper and textile
Special moment of the workshop:
At the end, each participant will print their created design onto a textile tote bag, which they will take home as a unique souvenir.
