Art & Hobby Studio welcomes you beginning March 6, 2022 to our KNITTING FOR BEGINNERS CLASS

Schedule:

15:00-16:30

Structure: 6 SESSIONS (every SUNDAY)

During the first two sessions we will learn long tail cast on, how to knit garter stitch, knit stitch, and purl stitch. We will begin knitting a small object of your choice: fingerless mittens, a baby vest or a cosy pair of slippers. We will also look through knitting patterns and learn how to read them.

During the third and fourth sessions we will learn how to increase and decrease stitches and how to change colours.

During the final two sessions we will learn how to cast off, how to weave in ends, and how to join our knitted pieces using mattress stitch.

This course is for you if:

• You want to learn a craft that is both relaxing during the cold winter days and practical.

Knitting is meditative and satisfying. Stitch by stitch we are creating pieces of clothing we can then proudly wear or give to family and friends. Whether we want to hop on the slow fashion movement with our own creations, or wish to have a therapeutic activity at the end of the day, once we take the first few steps together, there are no limits to what you can do with knitting.
