Group 1: 5:00 PM – 6:30 PM

Group 2: 7:00 PM – 8:30 PM

Duration: 12 sessions

Structure: 3 MODULES, each consisting of 4 SESSIONS (every Tuesday)

The Painting Course for Amateurs is specially designed for those passionate about art and eager to explore various techniques and artistic mediums. The course is divided into three distinct modules, each focusing on a specific painting medium: acrylic, watercolor and ink, and oil. Each module comprises 4 engaging sessions where participants will learn fundamental techniques, explore creativity, and develop their artistic skills.

Curriculum:

Module 1: Acrylic Painting

Duration: 4 sessions

Techniques covered:

• Introduction to the acrylic medium: features, advantages, and suitable supports.
• Color mixing techniques and brush usage in acrylic.
• Creating balanced compositions and understanding perspective in painting.
• Application of textures and layering techniques for visual depth.
• Creating a canvas painting based on a participant’s chosen model.

Module 2: Watercolor and Ink Techniques

Duration: 4 sessions

Techniques covered:

• Introduction to the world of watercolor and ink: transparency, fluidity, and expressiveness.
• Application techniques of watercolors and ink to create atmosphere and details.
• Playing with light and shadows in watercolor and ink.
• Creating four artworks exploring themes such as landscapes, still life, and portraits using watercolors and ink.

Module 3: Oil Painting

Duration: 4 sessions

Techniques covered:

• Introduction to oil painting: consistency, layers, drying time, solvents, and material care.
• Color mixing techniques and subtle layer application in oil.
• Creating an oil painting on canvas based on a participant’s chosen model.
• Developing personal style and interpreting subjects in oil.

Each session will include:

• Presentation of key techniques and concepts for the respective painting medium.
• Practical demonstrations of techniques by the instructor, with room for questions.
• Hands-on practice sessions where participants will experiment with techniques within artistic projects.
• Feedback sessions and constructive discussions on the created artworks.

Instructions and necessary materials will be provided by the organizers. At the end of each module, participants will be encouraged to share and discuss their experiences, learn from each other’s approaches, and develop their skills in an inspiring environment.

Regardless of the current level of artistic knowledge, this course offers an excellent opportunity to explore and cultivate a passion for art under the guidance of an experienced instructor and within a supportive learning environment.
