Beginner’s Painting Course – starting October 22, 2025, at Art & Hobby Studio

Have you always dreamed of painting but didn’t know where to start? This course is the perfect place for you, whether it’s your very first time holding a brush or you’d like to refresh the basics and explore new techniques.

Over the course of 12 sessions, in a warm and relaxed environment, you’ll step by step experiment with the most popular painting mediums: acrylic, watercolor & ink, and oil. Under the guidance of a patient and attentive instructor, you’ll learn how to turn your ideas into images and develop your own visual language.

Frequency: one session per week – every Wednesday

What you will learn:

Module 1 – Acrylic Painting

We’ll begin with acrylic – an accessible and very versatile medium. You’ll learn how to control color, work with brushes of different shapes, create balanced compositions, and add textures. Through practical exercises, you’ll complete a finished painting on canvas, choosing the theme that inspires you most. This is an excellent introduction to painting, with visible results right from the first sessions.

Module 2 – Watercolor and Ink

Next, we’ll move on to a delicate and expressive medium. You’ll discover how transparencies work, how to create atmosphere and light using fine color layers. We’ll also explore ink techniques, focusing on contrast and detail. This module will train your patience, attention, and your ability to suggest a lot with simple means. You’ll create works on various themes: landscapes, still life, and portrait.

Module 3 – Oil Painting

In the final part of the course, you’ll work with oils, a classic and profound technique. You’ll learn how to apply color in the right amounts, how to build in layers, and how to create smooth transitions between shades. We’ll also discuss materials, drying time, and tool care. At the end of this module, you’ll create a personal painting that applies everything you’ve learned and allows you to explore your own style.
