Beginner Painting Course – starting October 4, 2026, at Art & Hobby Studio

Have you always dreamed of painting but never knew where to start? This course is the ideal place for you, whether you are picking up a brush for the first time or want to clarify your basic knowledge and explore new techniques.

Over 12 sessions, in a warm and relaxed environment, you will step by step explore some of the most popular painting media: acrylics, watercolor & ink, and oils. With the guidance of a thoughtful and patient instructor, you will learn how to turn your ideas into images and develop your own visual language.

Course Schedule:
Frequency: one session per week – every Sunday
Total duration: 12 sessions
Time: 1:00–2:30 PM

What You Will Learn:

Module 1 – Acrylic Painting
We begin with acrylics – an accessible and highly versatile medium. You will learn how to control color, work with brushes of different shapes, create balanced compositions, and add texture. Through practical exercises, you will create a complete canvas painting, choosing the subject that inspires you most. It is an excellent introduction to painting, with visible results from the very first sessions.

Module 2 – Watercolor and Ink
We then move on to a delicate and expressive medium. You will discover how transparency works and how to create atmosphere and light using fine layers of color. We will also explore ink techniques, with an emphasis on contrast and detail. This module will develop your patience, attention, and ability to suggest a great deal using simple means. You will create works featuring a variety of subjects: landscapes, still life, and portraits.

Module 3 – Oil Painting
In the final part of the course, you will work with oils, a classic and deeply expressive technique. You will learn how to control the amount of color, work in layers, and create smooth transitions between shades. We will discuss materials, drying time, and how to care for your tools. At the end of this module, you will create a personal painting in which you can apply everything you have learned and explore your own style.
