Beginner Painting Course – Starting October 22, 2026, at Art & Hobby Studio
Have you always dreamed of painting but never knew where to start? This course is the perfect place for you, whether you’re picking up a paintbrush for the very first time or looking to strengthen your fundamentals and explore new techniques.
Over the course of 12 sessions, in a warm and relaxed studio environment, you’ll gradually discover three of the most popular painting mediums: acrylic, watercolor & ink, and oil painting. Guided by a patient and attentive instructor, you’ll learn how to transform your ideas into artwork while developing your own visual language and artistic confidence.

What You’ll Learn
Module 1 – Acrylic Painting
We begin with acrylics, a versatile and beginner-friendly medium. You’ll learn how to control color, use different types of brushes, create balanced compositions, and build texture. Through practical exercises, you’ll complete a finished canvas painting based on a subject that inspires you. This module offers an excellent introduction to painting, with rewarding results from the very first sessions.
Module 2 – Watercolor & Ink
Next, we’ll explore the delicate and expressive world of watercolor. You’ll discover how to work with transparency, create atmosphere and light through subtle layers of color, and combine watercolor with ink techniques to achieve striking contrasts and refined details. This module develops patience, observation, and the ability to express a great deal with simple means. You’ll create artworks inspired by a variety of subjects, including landscapes, still life, and portraiture.
Module 3 – Oil Painting
In the final part of the course, you’ll work with oil paints—a rich, classical medium known for its depth and versatility. You’ll learn how to mix and control color, build paintings in layers, and create smooth transitions between tones. We’ll also cover materials, drying times, and proper care of painting tools. By the end of the module, you’ll complete a personal oil painting that brings together everything you’ve learned while encouraging you to explore your own artistic style.
