Beginner Painting Course – Starting August 26, 2026, at Art & Hobby Studio

Have you always dreamed of painting but never knew where to start? This course is the perfect place to begin, whether you’re picking up a paintbrush for the very first time or looking to strengthen your fundamentals and explore new techniques.

Over the course of 12 sessions, in a warm and relaxed atmosphere, you’ll discover the most popular painting mediums step by step: acrylic, watercolor & ink, and oil painting. Guided by a supportive and patient instructor, you’ll learn how to transform your ideas into artwork while developing your own visual language and artistic style.

What You’ll Learn

Module 1 – Acrylic Painting

We begin with acrylics, an accessible and highly versatile medium. You’ll learn how to control color, work with different types of brushes, create balanced compositions, and add texture to your paintings. Through hands-on exercises, you’ll complete a full canvas painting based on a subject that inspires you most. This module offers an excellent introduction to painting, with visible results from the very first sessions.

Module 2 – Watercolor & Ink

Next, we’ll explore the delicate and expressive world of watercolor. You’ll discover how to work with transparency, create atmosphere and light through subtle layers of color, and develop confidence with this unique medium. We’ll also introduce ink techniques, focusing on contrast, line work, and fine details. This module will strengthen your patience, observation skills, and ability to express complex ideas with simple means. You’ll create a variety of artworks, including landscapes, still lifes, and portraits.

Module 3 – Oil Painting

In the final part of the course, you’ll work with oil paints—a classic medium known for its richness and depth. You’ll learn how to mix and control color, build paintings in layers, and create smooth transitions between tones. We’ll discuss materials, drying times, and proper care of your brushes and tools. By the end of the module, you’ll complete a personal painting that brings together everything you’ve learned while encouraging you to explore your own artistic style.
