Beginner Painting Course – starting April 16, 2026, at Art & Hobby Studio

Have you always dreamed of painting but didn’t know where to start? This course is the perfect place for you, whether you are holding a brush for the first time or you want to clarify the basics and explore new techniques.

Over the course of 12 sessions, in a warm and relaxed environment, you will gradually experiment with some of the most popular painting mediums: acrylic, watercolor & ink, and oil painting. Guided by a patient and attentive instructor, you will learn how to transform your ideas into images and develop your own visual language.

Frequency: one session per week – every Thursday

What You Will Learn

Module 1 – Acrylic Painting

We begin with acrylic, an accessible and highly versatile medium. You will learn how to control color, work with brushes of different shapes, create balanced compositions, and add texture. Through practical exercises, you will complete a full painting on canvas, choosing a theme that inspires you most. It is an excellent introduction to painting, with visible results from the very first sessions.

Module 2 – Watercolor & Ink

Next, we move to a delicate and expressive medium. You will discover how transparencies work and how to create atmosphere and light using fine layers of color. We will also explore ink techniques, focusing on contrast and details. This module will train your patience, attention, and ability to express a lot with simple means. You will create works with varied themes: landscapes, still life, and portrait.

Module 3 – Oil Painting

In the final part of the course, you will work with oil paints, a classic and profound technique. You will learn how to control color, work in layers, and create smooth transitions between shades. We will also discuss materials, drying times, and proper care of tools. By the end of this module, you will create a personal painting, applying everything you have learned and exploring your own style.
