Painting Course for Beginners – starting July 8, 2026, at Art & Hobby Studio

Have you always dreamed of painting but didn’t know where to start? This course is the ideal place for you, whether it’s your first time holding a brush or you want to clarify the basics and explore new techniques.

Over 12 sessions, in a warm and relaxed environment, you will gradually experience the most popular painting media: acrylics, watercolour & ink, and oil painting. Under the guidance of a patient and attentive instructor, you will learn how to turn your ideas into images and develop your own visual language.

Course schedule:

• Frequency: one session per week – every Wednesday
• Total duration: 12 sessions

  – Group 1: 15:00 – 16:30
  – Group 2: 17:00 – 18:30
  – Group 3: 19:00 – 20:30

What you will learn:

Module 1 – Acrylic Painting
We start with acrylics – an accessible and very versatile medium. You will learn how to control colour, work with brushes of different shapes, create balanced compositions, and add texture. Through hands-on exercises, you will complete a full canvas painting based on the theme that inspires you most. It is an excellent introduction to painting, with visible results from the very first sessions.

Module 2 – Watercolour and Ink
Next, we move on to a delicate and expressive medium. You will discover how transparency works, how to create atmosphere and light using thin layers of colour. We will also explore ink techniques, focusing on contrast and detail. This module will train your patience, attention, and ability to suggest a lot with simple means. You will create works in various themes: landscapes, still life, and portrait.

Module 3 – Oil Painting
In the final part of the course, you will work with oils, a classical and profound technique. You will learn how to balance colour, work in layers, and create smooth transitions between shades. We will also discuss materials, drying time, and tool maintenance. By the end of this module, you will complete a personal painting that brings together everything you have learned and allows you to explore your own style.
