Beginner Drawing Course – Starting September 29, 2025, at Art & Hobby Studio
Have you always wanted to learn how to draw but didn’t know where to start? This course is designed especially for those who wish to discover drawing step by step, in a relaxed environment, with no pressure and no previous experience required.
Course Details:
• Frequency: 1 session per week (every Monday)
• Schedule: 7:00 PM – 8:30 PM
• Duration: 16 sessions
• Structure: 4 modules, each consisting of 4 sessions
What you’ll learn:
Module 1 – Still Life
We’ll begin with simple objects, focusing on accurately capturing shapes, proportions, and their relationships. You’ll practice observation, composition, and the way light defines volume. Shading and texture techniques will help you build balanced and expressive drawings.
Module 2 – Perspective and Architecture
You’ll learn the basics of linear perspective and how to apply it to create believable space. We’ll draw architectural elements and urban landscapes, exploring proportion, depth, and vanishing points, so your drawings gain structure and visual clarity.
Module 3 – Portrait
This module focuses on the proportions of the human face, shape construction, and rendering distinct features. You’ll learn how to draw expressions, use light and shadow to suggest volume, and capture the personality of a subject. We’ll work with both pencil and charcoal.
Module 4 – Body Fragments and Gesture Drawing
You’ll study parts of the human body (hands, feet, torso, head) and practice gesture drawing – quick sketches that capture the essence of movement or a pose. The aim is to develop spontaneity, fluidity, and the ability to observe and simplify form efficiently.
